I’m just a regular girl. Really. Evidence below:
This blog is about me (obviously) and my struggle to get rid of some bad habits. Mainly, my love for chicken wings, poutine and beer which over the last five years have contributed to the 30 lbs that reside in my ever expanding ass and tummy.
(Just this morning I tried on some pants that I bought just two years ago, and I could hardly zip them up. Shameful, really.)
And so this is meant to be a journal of my progress towards weight loss and the tools I’m using to achieve a healthy weight of 115 lbs and a more healthful lifestyle in general. It may evolve and change into something different over time.
I would like to point out that I’ve never been an athletic person and that my idea of exercise is walking two blocks. And even then, there better be a big vat of guacamole at the end for my efforts. The only exercise I do now is Bikram yoga once a week, and while I think I eat pretty well (not much sugar as I don’t like sweets and lots of veggies and salads), I have nights where I eat way too much pizza and drink too much beer. I know this will be hard but I’m hopping this blog will help keep me motivated.
And that’s what this about.
ps – The BF and I now live in China, where I don’t work. The name for what I am is a Trailing Spouse. I’m still trying to adjust to this new role and identity and boy am I finding it hard right now.
