I haven’t posted much recently and that’s because my days are mostly a jumble of emotions. I start the day feeling really excited about moving, and then around lunch I feel really sad and angry, and then I get more excited about it later in the day. I don’t really know what to write about because my life right now is consumed with this move. Like I’m in some sort of limbo where life will only begin again once we get to our destination.
My schedule is overbooked with events and social things with friends that I want to go to because I’ll miss my friends and I want to spend as much time as I can with them, but then when I look at my schedule I get resentful that I have less and less ME time.
Apart from the million of charming vaccines I have to get in July, we have to do our inventory. This means sitting down and counting how many pairs of socks we’re bringing with us. Seriously. It’s such a pain in the arse. And we haven’t even started yet.
The BF’s dad is flying out from West Coast to spend the weekend with us, so I’ve been trying to organize some fun things to do so that we’re not just sitting around doing nothing when we have a guest. I’m getting increasingly nervous though, as the spare bedroom is currently a holding place for several piles of paper that the BF has to go through and file properly. Paper that I carefully collected from random places all over the house because it was driving me nuts and paper that I don’t want to go through and file myself because I don’t know exactly what the BF wants to keep and what he’s okay with throwing out. And so, my level of bitchiness is exponentially increasing because the papers! The papers are not filed! How dare you go see a movie when you know that the PAPERS ARE NOT FILED!
Yeah. That’s me.

Does the filing room have a lock on the door? Maybe you can lure him in with a piece of cake, then lock him in until it’s done.
Too much? Illegal? Probably.

I’d go with Jo’s approach but also lob a lighted match through the key hole too .. this will not only make sure the filing gets done but also in a timely manner too.
