What I’m Doing & Things I Need to Buy

I’ve decided to try the 12-Second Sequence, which is an exercise program developed by Jorge Cruise.  I’ve bought the book and read it and I think that it’s a good way to go. It’s a strength training program meant to target problem areas, and results are pretty quick (a great thing to keep the motivation up).

The basics of the 12-Second Sequence:

  • Two 20-minute workouts a week (Mondays and Thursdays)
  • Suggested that you take a power walk every morning before breakfast. Obviously, Jorge doesn’t live in Canada. I will substitute 10 minutes on my step machine instead of walking for now.
  • Modified diet, which includes consuming three whey-shakes a day. Something to do with the fact that you’re building lean muscle, which burns calories and whey helps you build more lean muscle faster. Also, no starches at night. Usual stuff about no sugar and little bit of fat.
  • Things I Need:

  • A scale and measuring tape with which to measure my progress
  • Whey (an essential part of the 12-Second Sequence)
  • A multi-vitamin (cause it can’t hurt, can it?)
  • I plan to start this on Monday.  Five days to go.
